Warehouse Operations Supervisor
Location: Saffron Walden
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday - Friday. Full Time

This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to take ownership of a growing warehouse operation and help build it from the ground up.

With three warehouse facilities already in place, we're looking for someone who can bring structure, organisation and proven warehouse expertise to create an efficient operation covering all aspects of warehouse operations.

This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain existing processes. You'll have the opportunity to design workflows, improve stock control, recommend systems, maximise warehouse utilisation and establish best practice across the operation.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on but also has the confidence and experience to suggest improvements, challenge existing ways of working and help shape the future of the warehouse function.

What you'll be doing

  • Taking ownership of day-to-day warehouse operations
  • Designing efficient goods-in, storage and goods-out processes
  • Establishing stock control procedures and inventory accuracy
  • Reviewing warehouse layouts and material flow
  • Recommending and helping implement warehouse management systems and processes
  • Creating operational procedures and best practice standards
  • Managing stock movements between warehouse and workshop
  • Driving continuous improvement across the operation
  • Ensuring high standards of health and safety
  • Supporting the future growth and development of the business

What we're looking for

  • An experienced Warehouse Supervisor or similar leadership role
  • Experience improving warehouse processes, systems or operational workflows
  • Strong stock control and inventory management experience
  • Confident using warehouse, ERP or stock management systems
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to make recommendations
  • Comfortable working in a hands-on environment
  • Counterbalance Forklift Licence
  • Experience working with high racking

Why apply?

  • Genuine opportunity to build a warehouse operation your way
  • High level of autonomy and ownership
  • Opportunity to make a visible impact on the business
  • Long-term career progression
  • Monday-Friday working pattern
  • £35,000 - £42,000 DOE
  • Holidays: 23 days + Bank Holidays
  • Free parking
  • Pension
