Job Title: Electrician / Electrical Engineer
Salary: £38,000 - £41,000 (depending on experience)
Location: Essex
Term: Permanent.
Hours: Mon-Friday, with overtime for weekends

 
We’re looking for a qualified Electrician / Electrical Engineer to join a growing, professional team delivering high-quality electrical compliance and installation work across commercial and industrial environments.
 
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in doing things properly, works well with others, and is happy taking responsibility for both the work and the people alongside them.
 
The role
 
You’ll be responsible for carrying out electrical installation, maintenance, testing and inspection work in line with current regulations and best practice.
 
Key responsibilities include:

  • Fault finding, upgrades, finals and general electrical maintenance in line with technical drawings and the 18th Edition
  • Completing testing and inspection works, including accurate certification for approval
  • Working in line with all relevant health & safety regulations, ensuring safe working environments at all times
  • Supporting and supervising an apprentice, including on-the-job guidance and reporting progress when required

Essential qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Testing & Inspection qualification (2391 or 2394/2395)
  • Experience completing electrical condition reports within commercial or industrial settings

Desirable (but not essential)

  • PV, EV, HV or design experience
  • Relevant site or industry cards

Skills & Experience

  • Strong testing and inspection background
  • Able to read drawings and specifications
  • Calm, organised and reliable
  • Comfortable working independently or with an apprentice
