Job Purpose
As an Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of their office and showroom while overseeing customer orders and deliveries. You will be the first point of contact for clients, providing excellent customer service and operational support.
Key Responsibilities for the Operations Manager role:
- Oversee day-to-day office operations to ensure efficiency
- Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries, both in person and via telephone
- Manage and oversee customer orders, ensuring accurate processing and smooth order fulfilment
- Organise and arrange cost-effective deliveries, optimising routing and logistics
- Maintain an organized office and showroom environment
- Conduct weekly stock-takes to ensure inventory accuracy
- Keep samples and marketing materials well-organized and updated
- Ensure protective cover sheets are properly maintained on stone slabs
Key Objectives & Success Metrics
- Maintain strong customer relationships and high levels of satisfaction
- Ensure smooth office operations and seamless order processing
- Proactively solve daily operational challenges efficiently
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in operations management, preferably within construction, stone, or materials industries
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Knowledge of logistics and delivery coordination
- Proficiency in inventory management and stock control
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
