A Head of Fundraising is required to develop and implement a fundraising strategy to increase and diversify revenue streams across Essex and Hertfordshire.  Working with people at all levels, you will be a pro-active manager and have the communication skills in order to inspire staff, volunteers, corporate organisations and the general public.
 
The role of Head of Fundraising:
 

  • Researching destinations, planning budgets and attend challenges to produce reports
  • Working with the Fundraising & Marketing Director to develop an effective fundraising strategy and new revenue streams
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop key initiatives in the local area
  • Ensure oversea challenges revenue and attendee targets are met.
  • Manage, develop and oversee the work of the team, spending 2 days a week in the Herts office
  • Build relationships with corporate clients to secure partnerships and sponsorships
  • Deliver presentations
  • Build relationships with businesses who have selected the Charity as their chosen charity
  • Organise fundraising appeals and projects
  • Attend relevant networking events
  • Look to develop new business by being proactive and engaging with new contacts
  • Liaising with the charity shops and give support where necessary

 
 
To be considered for the role of Head of Fundraising:

 

  • Proven experience in a fundraising role
  • An understanding of the role of the Fundraising Regulator
  • A highly motivated, income focussed individual
  • You will have a full understanding of budgets and reports for fundraising activity
  • Experience of building, developing and managing successful supporter relationships
  • Outstanding people management skills and experience
  • Proven track record of generating revenue
  • A confident public speaker who is able to communicate with a wide variety of audiences
  • Highly organised
  • Experience of working to targets and budgets
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and take a proactive approach
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others to support the charity
  • Excellent computer skills eg Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Full UK Licence due to the rural location of both offices
  • Willingness to work outside of standard hours

 
 
Package for the Head of Fundraising:
 

A basic salary of £45,000 per annum
 
27 days holiday per annum + 8 bank holidays
 
Company pension   - eligible to join after completion of 6 month probation period
 
Hours:  Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
