A Fundraising Manager is responsible for delivering and implementing the agreed fundraising strategy to increase and diversify revenue streams across Essex.  Working with people at all levels, you will be a pro-active manager and have the communication skills in order to inspire staff, volunteers, corporate organisations and the general public.
 
The role of Fundraising Manager:

 

  • Work with the Head of Fundraising and other Managers to deliver agreed fundraising strategy and targets
  • Proactively build relationships with corporates throughout Essex to secure partnerships and sponsorship agreements
  • Research ideas and create project plans
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop key initiatives in the local area
  • Manage, develop and oversee the work of the Fundraising team
  • Deliver presentations
  • Build relationships with businesses who have selected the Charity as their chosen charity
  • Organise fundraising appeals and projects
  • Attend relevant networking events
  • Look to develop new business by being proactive and engaging with new contacts
  • Liaising with the charity shops and give support where necessary
  • Understand and use the Trust donor database effectively to aid fundraising
  • Biannually manage the chosen overseas challenge working with chosen supplier, working with Head of Fundraising to research destinations, ensuring revenue and attendee targets are met, support trekkers and attend challenges if and when requiredAttending and leading events

 

 To be considered for the role of Fundraising Manager:
 

  • Proven experience in a fundraising role
  • A highly motivated, income focussed individual
  • Set appropriate targets and objectives alongside the Head of Fundraising
  • Experience of building, developing and managing successful supporter relationships
  • Outstanding people management skills and experience
  • Proven track record of generating revenue
  • A confident public speaker who is able to communicate with a wide variety of audiences
  • Highly organised
  • Experience of working to targets and budgets
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and take a proactive approach
  • Ability to inspire and motivate others to support the charity
  • Excellent computer skills eg Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Full UK Licence due to the rural location of the office
  • Willingness to work outside of standard hours 

 
Package for the Fundraising Manager:

 
A basic salary of £30,000 pro rata (9 month maternity cover)

Hours:  Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
