RecruitAbility are looking for a self-motivated and dedicated administrator to join their client’s dynamic and thriving business based in Saffron Walden. The role is based in their friendly and hard-working sales and customer service team.

 The role of Administration Assistant

This role requires an Administration Assistant who is dedicated and self-motivated  with a keen work ethic. The ideal candidate would be someone who is willing to learn and engage with a wide variety of administration tasks and works well as part of a team.

The role will include:

  • Daily answering of main phone
  • Assisting with raising
  • Purchase Orders
  • Continual monitoring of container shipments/arrivals into UK ports
  • Working closely with shippers with regards paperwork to ensure smooth entry into UK ports
  • Continual support for the warehouse where needed
  • Receipt of Customer orders
  • Liaising with warehouse and hauliers regarding delivery and transport information
  • Issue confirmation Sales Order to customer and update customers accordingly
  • Continuous Customer service – updating delivery dates/times as requested and various other requests received from customers
  • Monitoring stock and understanding ongoing customer requirements
  • Supporting Sales team with any new customer requirements
  • Input of Supplier Invoices onto Sage and reconcile statements as received and resolve any issues as required
  • Ensuring all systems are kept up to date - Sage and company’s bespoke system
  • To cover all admin duties during other colleague’s holiday periods
  • Process Customer invoices on a weekly basis
  • General office administration duties

  • Accurate with ongoing attention to detail
  • Willingness to learn and to undertake a range of different tasks as required
  • Microsoft Office Skills (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Able to multitask, great organisational skills and a good sense of humour
  • Confident Team player that can think for themselves and use their own initiative and thrive in a busy environment
  • Flexible, committed and reliable
