Job Title:         Accounts Assistant

Location:       Saffron Walden

Salary:           £22,000 - £24,000 depending on experience

Term:            12 months fixed term contract, to cover maternity leave 

 

My client is a very well established and successful firm.  They are currently looking for an Accounts Assistant to work as part of a dynamic, busy team. The role is to provide maternity cover, so 2 -3 years experience is essential.

 

The role of Accounts Assistant:

  • Purchase invoices posting payments
  • Sales ledger posting receipts
  • Filing purchase invoices
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Following up on purchase and sales ledger queries
  • Ad hoc accounts duties
  • Bank reconciliation

 

To be considered for the role of Accounts Assistant:

  • You must have at least 2 years experience in a busy accounts office
  • A good understanding of accounts
  • Knowledge of accounting software
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel
  • Good communication skills

 

The Package for the role of Accounts Assistant:

The basic salary: £22,000 - £24,000 depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hour week. Mon - Fri  9am - 5pm

Holiday: 23 days + 8 day Bank Holiday
